Rising Star

This was such a fun concept to bring to life. After reading the script that originally had Kelsea Ballerini planted underneath the stage for the duration of the spot, I pitched the idea of moving her all around backstage so we could get an idea of the anticipation and excitement before rising on stage and performing for fans. And, as a way of feeling connected to her perspective throughout the spot, I pitched the idea of a faux-oner that everyone was excited to execute. From blocking to executing, this is one of my favorite spots I’ve gotten to direct, and it was only possible because of having such collaborative partners and client.
