What a fun concept to bring to life! The script originally had Kelsea Ballerini planted underneath the stage for the duration of the spot, but after I watched a handful of BTS videos from Kelsea’s concerts, I pitched moving her around backstage because her energy as a performer is so infectious when she’s on the move. From blocking to executing, this is one of my favorite spots I’ve gotten to direct, and it was only possible because of having such collaborative partners and client.
